The search engine giant, Google has launched its foray into the web browser market by launching its own web browser known as Google Chrome. It is certainly a revolutionary browser loaded with extremely new and exciting features that will everyone flabbergasted. One of the important points that will strike on everyone’s mind as which web browser they must to use. Is it better than the Firefox that is mostly preferred by the users around the world? Differences between Google Chrome and Firefox

One of the significant points of difference between Google Chrome and Firefox is that of speed. Considering the speed factor it is generally faster and more stable than the Firefox.

Google Chrome do not have menu bar and there is no way to add it. Instead of menu bar it consists of browser tabs for each web page that has been opened by the user. On the other hand, Firefox has the menu bar, which is extremely simpler to use.

The interfaces such as buttons, icons and options are minimum in Google Chrome and it is difficult to figure out how to get the browser to do the tasks that the user wants it to do. Whereas there are lot of interfaces in the Firefox that makes the tasks simpler to perform. For example, if a user wants to create a folder for my bookmarks then simply he has to go to the bookmarks menu option and click on organize bookmarks option.

It is certainly difficult to find some of commands in Google Chrome that are really very easy to find in Firefox. For instance, it is really a tough task to view the underlying code of a web page in Chrome as compared to the Firefox.

One of the other shortcomings of Google Chrome is that it currently runs on a windows operating system as compared to the Firefox that runs on any operating system.

It is extremely difficult for the user to determine which tab is causing the problems in the Firefox. While, the Google Chrome has the task manager, which allows the user the amount of memory each tab is consuming and close the tab that is causing the problems.

Sometimes, Firefox tends to stop when the JavaScript engine gets hung up. On the other hand, the Google Chrome web browser does not stops functioning even if in case there is some problem in the JavaScript engine.
