Mouseover Images - Hidden images Better than Onload Images

If you are trying to change images on some mouse overs effects and are faced with slow loading of mouseover images then most obvious solution is putting these images in BODY unload but these new browsers still show these images slowly

The Good solution is put all these images in pages and put the Width and height to Zero so images will be already on page and mouse over will be instant

NO VGA Signal

One of our staff was trying to plugin a extra speaker to his machine (Running XP Professions) when he encountered a NO VGA Signal
Machine will look like starting but monitor will show an error NO VGA Signal before going blank

Changing Monitor did not help

The problem was somehow his RAM was moved and removing it and adding it again works !

I wonder why this Branded Desktops from COMPAQ has so poor Inetnals that adding a speaker wire will make RAMS moved its place

Div/Layer Postion absolute

If you are struggling to position a DIV into tight place and different browsers are showing it different with screen resolution changes,you can try something like

left:expression((document.body.clientWidth/2)-359);

set the last 359 according to your page and you should get great results in all resolutions in Firefox,IE and Opera

Strange Charcaters  in Firefox on Top Of Page

I was struck with  the strange characters at top of page in Firefox
These characters was NOT in IE or Opera

The Cause was

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

at Top Of page,looks FF has problem in charset type

simply removing this line solve the issue

Through I guess mentioning META charset type is a good idea but I will think about that later

Protect Your Articles

I was stunned to see some of my self written articles copied by someone else using a wordpress plugin wp-o-matic
The Guy has copied all of my articles as such without even giving me a reference

Through a simple email make him say sorry and remove those instantly I wondered How I can stop this now.wp-o-matic is using BLOG data feeds to copy content and simple answer is change your feed settings to not have full article in feeds.This way if someone copy then it will be only a part of it.
Through you can always disable full RSS feeds I think it might not be very good idea.
In Blogger you can set FEEDS display in Settings-->Site Feed-->Allow Blog Feeds

Difference between Hurricane, Cyclone and Tornado

As hurricane Ike and hurricane Gustav leading to large scale devastation in United States of America, I have often wondered why some parts of World do not have these violent high pressure events.

May be someone could tell me that. I also live along the ocean coast lines but I have never heard of hurricane . A couple of days ago, I heard weatherman refer to certain kind of hurricane as cyclone. I was totally surprised as I always believed that hurricane and cyclone is the different thing. This added to my curiosity and decided to conduct a research in order to get an answer for my question. I decided to do a conduct a research on this matter. The answer that I got left me flabbergasted. I came to know that hurricane, cyclone and tornado are one and the same thing.
If a storm is formed in the Atlantic or eastern Pacific Ocean then it is known as hurricane. Every storm that endangers the United States is a hurricane. Cyclones are the storms that originate in the Southern Pacific. Generally they are not prevalent as hurricanes because of the cold water temperatures. Tornadoes often occur in the northern hemisphere. A tornado is generally small in diameter and rapidly rotating winds form a vortex that is accompanied with a thunderstorm that could be quite devastating. A tornado is also known by the name twister. Tornadoes are very difficult to study and predict.
It does not matter what we called them. These three are all dangerous storms that can be quite devastating on their day.

Wordpress XMLRPC - 32700 parse error - Mystery Solved

If you are using XMLRPC to post to Wordpress(WP) Blogs and are struck to an error 32700 parse error. not well formed here is a good news to you...

This was causing me trouble for few months,Hours of searching on google did not do anything
Some people claimed its due to some code manipulation in xmlrpc.php but that was not true

The real cause of problem is the admin password you are using,since last few version WP is giving password very randomly with characters like & @ # ( )

These password don't work with XMLRPC.I think specially & is the biggest problem.so the solution is simple reset your WP password to remove these characters and you are all set to go...
